Masked gunman robs Subway sandwich shop

Armed RobberySAN DIEGO — A masked man armed with a pistol robbed a Ridgeview- area sandwich shop Friday.

The thief, who had a ski mask over his face, confronted an employee at the Subway in the 1700 block of Euclid Avenue and demanded cash shortly before 6:30 a.m., according to San Diego police. He fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The roughly 5-foot-8-inch bandit was dressed in dark-colored pants, a white shirt and a hooded sweat shirt, and was carrying a black bag, Sgt. Ray Battrick said.
