Gas prices continue to drop

SAN DIEGO — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Monday for the 17th time in 19 days, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.606, its lowest amount since Nov. 27.

The average price has decreased 8.7 cents over the past 19 days, including three-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.8 cents less than one week ago, 4.2 cents lower than one month ago and 12.1 cents below what it was one year ago.
