NATIONAL CITY, Calif. – Video surfaced on the Internet Sunday showing San Diego Charger fans punching and stomping a Denver Broncos fan in National City.

A rally in National City to celebrate the Chargers season was interrupted by a fist fight between a lone Broncos fan and three Charger fans.

National City police jumped on the attackers and arrested three Chargers fans and a Broncos fan.  It was unknown if anyone in custody was hospitalized after the fight.

Police were investigating the incident to determine who instigated the fight.

A photojournalist with a San Diego TV station was bit or nipped by a police dog during the commotion. He was treated for minor injuries and continued to take video of the rally.

The event continued after the arrests, as Chargers fans look forward to next season.

Fans Fight

The Broncos held off the Chargers late rally to win Sunday’s playoff game 24-17 at Mile High Stadium.  Their season continues next Sunday when they play the New England Patriots for the AFC Championship Game.
