robberySAN DIEGO — A well-dressed man armed with a pistol and wearing a Halloween-style mask robbed a La Jolla pharmacy Friday, authorities reported.

The holdup at the CVS store in the 7500 block of Eads Avenue was reported shortly before 11:30 a.m., according to San Diego police.

The thief — who was clad in a business suit and had his face covered with a black-and-white mask, possibly that of a clown or Guy Fawkes-type character — may have fled the area in a white older-model sedan with a roof rack, SDPD public-affairs Lt. Kevin Mayer said.

It was not immediately clear what the bandit stole.
