Police seeking suspect in mall robbery

San Diego Police DepartmentSAN DIEGO  – A store in Fashion Valley Mall was robbed two suspects who took off with anywhere between seven to ten handbags, according to police.

According to San Diego Police, at 7:43 p.m. Saturday, a man and a woman entered Salvatore Ferragamo acting as shoppers initially and began to put handbags on their arms.

The suspects ran out of the store with the handbags, according to police.

An employee and a shopper ran after the suspects but failed to catch them, police said.

The female suspect ran into a parking structure where she was later found by a police officer who was patrolling the area, police said.

She is in custody while the male suspect is still on the loose, according to police.
