OCEANOceanside, CA – A body found floating in the Oceanside Harbor has been identified as that of a 56-year-old Julian man who had been drinking with friends, medical examiners said.

The man, who’s name was not immediately released, went to stay on his boat that was docked in a slip at Oceanside Harbor, north, on Friday and went out to the local bars with a friend that night, the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

A friend found the man floating in the water near another slip about 8:20 a.m. Saturday, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.

Responding police officers pulled the body from the water, authorities said.

An autopsy has yet to be conducted, officials with the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
