Police seek suspect in stabbing near Midtown

knife-web SAN DIEGO – An investigation was underway this morning into the stabbing of a 40-year-old homeless man who was attacked as he slept in Midtown.

Another man walked up and stabbed the victim in the leg as he slept inthe 2900 block of India Street around 9:25 p.m. Friday, said San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

The homeless man was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury, he said.

The suspect is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black hoodie, Stafford said.
