slothSan Diego — (CNN) Xena… it’s the name of a warrior princess, and the newest member of the San Diego Zoo.

The public, with over one thousand votes, chose to name this five-month-old, two-toed sloth Xena; that’s short for Xenarthra.

Xena is currently training to meet people as an animal ambassador.

Sloths are slow-moving, plant-eating mammals that are active at night and are usually found in tropical forests.
