MS Walk brings hundreds together

MS WalkSAN DIEGO – About 200 people finished a three-day, 50-mile walk Sunday and raised money for multiple sclerosis.

The 12th annual Southern California Challenge Walk MS kicked off with a 20-mile walk Friday starting at the Flower Fields of Carlsbad.

Walkers tracked 20 miles on Saturday and finished with another 10-miles Sunday at the Embarcadero Marina Park in San Diego.

According to organizers, 50 of the 200 walkers have the neurological disease of the central nervous system – multiple sclerosis.

More than $750,000 was raised for the National MS Society this weekend.
