Man robs Clairemont Mesa bank using demand note

bankRobbery SAN DIEGO – San Diego police were on the lookout Friday for a bank robber who fled in a black Lincoln Navigator with silver trim on its rear window.

A roughly 6-foot-tall unshaven white man in his 30s robbed the U.S. Bank branch office at 5407 Balboa Ave. in Clairemont Mesa around 6 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

He used a demand note and fled northbound on Genesee Avenue in the SUV, Stafford said in a statement. No one was hurt.
