Nathan Fletcher files paperwork to run for Mayor

fletcherSAN DIEGO – Nathan Fletcher, a candidate for San Diego Mayor in the 2012 election, has filed paperwork to run again for the position in the event of a special election. Fletcher finished third in the June 2012 primary, behind current Mayor Bob Filner and Carl DeMaio. Fletcher was a member of the California State Assembly from 2008-2012, representing the 75th District which includes most of North County.

Fletcher spent most of his time in the Assembly as a member of the Republican party, before becoming Independent, and then earlier this year, joining the Democratic party.

He has also served as a political analyst for FOX 5 on several occasions.
