Celebrities jump on Eastlake Little League bandwagon

CHULA VISTA, Calif. – The success of the Eastlake Little League team has caught the attention of celebrities from Chula Vista.

Celebrity news host for Extra! Mario Lopez sent a tweet mentioning the young baseball players from South Bay.

Lopez, the former Saved By The Bell star, was posing with Playboy Playmate of the Year Raquel Pomplun.  Both celebrities were born and raised in Chula Vista.

Another major league shout out for Eastlake, along with the Tijuana Little League team was spotted on Twitter.  The San Diego Padres congratulated both:

Both teams will take the field again on Wednesday.  Eastlake will play Connecticut and Mexico will face Japan.
