Car crashes into Mission Bay building

SAN DIEGO – A vehicle hit a building along a busy street in Mission Bay leaving residents without water Monday afternoon, a fire official said.

crash-graphicThe driver hit a water line and an unknown structure along 3800 block of Rivera Drive around 4 p.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.

Crews worked to fix the line and restore water to residents.

The dispatcher said there was minor damage to the building.

It was unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the accident.
