gunpoint SAN DIEGO – A 21-year-old man was wounded in a possibly gang-related shooting in Valencia Park, and police sought three men in connection with the attack, a police officer said.

The victim and two other men were walking in the 5200 block of Groveland Avenue near Euclid Avenue about 8:15 p.m. Saturday when they were approached by three other men, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

Stafford said words were exchanged between the two groups and the suspect drew a handgun and fired, striking the victim in his leg.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital for the non-life-threatening injury, Stafford said.

Police described all three suspects as being Hispanic, bald and in their 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Diego Police Department at (619) 531-2204.
