NASHVILLE, TN — No sooner than she was off the American Idol stage, runner up Kree Harrison was performing once again — on stage at the Grand Ole Opry that is!

Kree performed along with Kellie Pickler, Rascall Flatts, and Keith Urban during the Opry’s June 4th evening show in Nashville.

“It’s surreal, honestly.  I can’t believe it,” Kree explained backstage.  “I’ve been wanting to play the Opry my whole life.”kree

Kree performed her debut single ‘All Cried Out,’ and was joined on stage by Keith Urban  for ‘Help Me Make It Through the Night.’  While performing on the iconic stage was a dream come true, Kree made another one come true that night too.

“I told my dad a long time ago if I ever made the Opry I’d sing his favorite hymn which was ‘In the Gardens’ so that was an easy choice,” she said.

Backstage fans crowded around hoping to catch a glimpse of Kree as she exited the stage while some reached out their hands for an autograph. “They are the whole reason why I get to do these things,” Kree said.  “They got me through Idol.  So, anytime someone stops me for a picture, I want to do it so they know how much it means to me.”

Life for the season 12 American Idol is now in the fast lane more than ever.  She’s back in Nashville, her home of 14 years, and she’s happier than ever to catch up with friends and family over a cold one at her favorite local hang out.

“I may have gone to Santa’s Pub immediately,” laughed Kree.  “I used to work there, and it’s my stompin’ ground.  This is where me and my friends would go, where we feel at home.  It’s cash only and two dollar beers, and that’s it.”

When asked about her favorite beer, the answer — quite simple.  Coors Light.
