Army_National_Guard_logo-300×300EL CAJON – The Army National Guard is relocating its Kearny Mesa offices to El Cajon, a spokeswoman for the East County city announced today.

In recognition of the move, 60 National Guard members will be sprucing up Kennedy, Wells and Hillside parks from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, according to El Cajon spokeswoman Monica Zech.

“To show their appreciation for being welcomed to their new offices in our city, the Army National Guard offered to help spruce up these major park areas by doing some painting, laying down fresh mulch and providing any needed clean-up,” Zech said in a statement.

“The city will be providing all the necessary equipment and materials to complete the work.”
