Police seek suspect in attempted bank robbery

bank-robbery-genericSAN DIEGO – A man attempted to rob a bank in downtown San Diego but was rebuffed by a loud teller, and being sought by police.

A man entered the Citibank at 755 Broadway Circle about 12:40 p.m., walked up to a teller and held up a demand note, San Diego Police officer Frank Cali said.

“The teller spoke loudly and the suspect left the bank without any money,” Cali said. The suspect was last seen walking west on B Street.

The suspect was described as a white male, 60 to 65 years old. He was wearing a Navy blue baseball cap with white pinstripes with an F on the front, and a blue jacket over a white-and-blue flannel button-up shirt.
