SAN DIEGO — Police are looking for a driver who bailed out of his pickup and ran after crashing into several parked cars Thursday night.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Columbia Street near Palm Street. A witness said a white pickup smashed into three parked cars. The driver took off running.

Michael Keating lives on the street. He said this isn’t the first time parked cars have been sideswiped.

“I’ve been here less than a year and this has happened at least twice,”  Keating said. “It’s really narrow and it then it comes up the hill an there’s a lot of blind spots. So when you’re coming up, I don’t think people really realize how much it tapers in, and then the next thing you know, if you’re not paying attention, you’re going to scrape and bang around.”

Police have not yet released a suspect description.
