SAN DIEGO – UC San Diego was ranked 34th overall on a list released Monday of best universities in the world.
The Times Higher Education placed UCSD on their World Reputation Rankings publication list.
A collection responses from 48,000 seniors and published scholars contributed to the rankings and offered insight into the academic prestige of universities around the globe, according to the Time Higher Education.
“The Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings have rapidly become established as the global index of academic prestige,” Phil Baty, editor of the Times Higher Education said. “With only the top 100 university brands featured in the list, those ranked are in a truly elite group.”
UCSD moved up two spots from the 2012 ranking of 36.
