Motorcyclist injured after turning in front of truck

motorcycleCrashSAN DIEGO – A 66-year-old man on a motorcycle broke his pelvis Wednesday when he was struck by a 2006 Honda truck he had made an unsafe left turn in front of a truck, police said.

The collision occurred at 3:40 p.m. at Carroll Canyon Road and Maya Linda Road, said Officer David Stafford of the San Diego Police Department.

The motorcyclist was taken to a trauma center although his injury was not regarded as life threatening.

The Honda truck was driven by a 36-year-old man.

The investigation into the collision is continuing, Stafford said.
