ACTON, Calif. — A helicopter crashed in a field near Acton on Sunday morning during a reality TV production shoot, killing the pilot and two passengers.

Reality TV Helicopter Crash Kills Three People Near ActonThe incident occurred on the Polsa Rosa ranch in the 5700 block of Soledad Canyon Road, which is southwest of Acton. Three men, who were in their 40s, were thrown from the Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter as it crashed, authorities said.

The L.A. County Fire Department received a call at 3:42 a.m. about the crash, which did not cause a fire.

The owners of the 700-acre ranch would not allow media access to the field.
