Jennifer KrajnakSAN DIEGO – A woman found on the side of an East County road dying from a wound to her head was identified Thursday afternoon.

Two deputies found 30-year-old Jennifer Rene Krajnak in front of apartments at Olive Street and Pacific Avenue in Lemon Grove about 2 a.m. Thursday, San Diego County sheriff’s Lt. Glenn Giannantonio said. Paramedics took her to Scripps Mercy Hospital where she was declared dead about 30 minutes later.

Investigators found shell casings where Krajnak was found, but would not say if Krajnak’s injuries were from a bullet.

Detectives declared her death a homicide.

She was a good friend of mine from back when I lived in San Diego. Hell, for a while we were roommates. She was the type of person that you just couldn't help but want to be friends with and was always as nice as could be to anyone who would talk to her. This is just inhuman!

    • Laura Parisi

Thanks for the kind words Drew! Jenny was my niece, she was bubbly, loving, caring and had a good heart! Sweet Jenny..Im so sorry you had to endure this, even though we didn't spend alot of time together I loved you so much! Now you are our angel, say hi to your grandparents for us and know we will see eachother again someday..you touched my heart may God watch over your mom and family and help them get through this terrible ordeal..Rest in peace sweet Jenny…

  • Sandra

1st of all this story is about this shooting. the shooting you want is it's own story. that is how journalism works. And you should just explain the LP part as I and a lot of others have no clue as to what you mean!

I love you Jenn!!! I can't stop crying. The world lost a bright shinning star and is now a little dimmer without you here. I hope you have found peace.

This was not some random act of violence, and has nothing to do with the area. She knew the guy and they DID catch him last night, thank GOD it didn't drag out forever. I knew her and my thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult and sad time. :(

This a sad example of why it’s way past time that we, as a society quit coddling all these thug criminals who want to prey upon innocent people. Prays her family & friends.
