SAN DIEGO — The aircraft that crashed near Santee, killing three members of an Arizona family, was owned by a Phoenix man, according to registration numbers released by the FAA Sunday.
The owner was William A. Stern, 65, of northeast Phoenix, according to an FAA tail number that was matched to several aircraft databases.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office has so far only said the victims were a 65-year-old man, his 53-year-old wife and their 19-year-old daughter, all from Phoenix.
