SAknife-webN DIEGO — A man was stabbed in his stomach Sunday in Linda Vista and police searched for two men responsible for the attack.

A victim described as a Hispanic man in his 30s was walking in the 7100 block of East Hyatt Street east of Linda Vista Road and south of Genesee Avenue at 1:25 a.m. when he was approached by two suspects in their 20s, said San Diego Police officer Dino Delimitros.

“They demanded his wallet,” Delimitros said. “When the victim refused, one of the suspects produced a pocket knife and stabbed the victim in the stomach.”

Delimitros said the wound sustained by the victim was not life threatening.

The suspects were described as Hispanic men in their 20s with thin builds dressed in black.

Western Division detectives were continuing an investigation.
