Roof collapses in Logan Heights market fire

SAN DIEGO — An investigation is underway Thursday morning into the cause of a fire that erupted in the storage area of a market overnight.

Flames broke out in a storage area of a grocery store at 2901 National Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night, sending thick smoke into the air.

The structure's roof collapsed as firefighters battled flames. The fire did not spread to the adjacent market, according to a fire official.

No one was injured as a result of the fire.
