SAN DIEGO -- A San Diego County Sheriff's sergeant was injured when an MTS trolley hit a patrol SUV Wednesday in Santee.
The collision happened shortly before 7 p.m. near Buena Vista Avenue and Cuyamaca Street.
"The right side of the vehicle was impacted and the front of the trolley was impacted," a Sheriff's official told FOX 5.
An Army medic who first assisted the sergeant said he was conscious and breathing when he was taken to a hospital.
No trolley passengers were injured.
Two women who live nearby told FOX 5 they've seen a number of crashes at the intersection.
