Natural gas leak prompts evacuations in Normal Heights

SAN DIEGO -- A natural-gas leak Friday prompted evacuations of some residences in Normal Heights.

The gas leak was in the area of Felton Street and Monroe Avenue, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

About 185 people were without gas.

Utility crews were on scene making repairs, which were expected to be completed by 8 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries.
