SAN DIEGO -- After stunning everyone — including themselves — by winning the CIF Division III State Championship last week, the Cathedral Catholic High School boys cross country team will compete in the Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) in Portland, Oregon this Saturday.

The Dons became just the third boys team from San Diego to win a state title and the first since Mission Bay High School in 1992.

They also ran the second-fastest team time of the day (1:18:39 - tied for fastest all-time by a San Diego team), which qualified them for the national meet.

The boys will race at 11:35 a.m. on Saturday. You can watch the race here.
