SAN DIEGO – Shoppers in San Diego were already lined up Wednesday in preparation for Black Friday sales.

People were braving the cooler weather in anticipation of getting those holiday deals, such as PlayStation 4, big-screen TVs and drones at Best Buy stores, most of which will open at 5 p.m. Thursday.

But what is known as one of the busiest shopping days of the year doesn't come without an important warning. Authorities remind shoppers to keep an eye on their purchase-filled vehicles, since smash-and-grab thefts go hand-in-hand with the holiday shopping season. Shoppers should also check their receipts when making large purchases.
