Masked Chargers fan robs gas station in Hillcrest

SAN DIEGO – Police released surveillance pictures of two men who robbed a gas station at gunpoint.

The robbery happened on Monday at a Shell gas station on Washington Street in Hillcrest. The suspects entered the station at 3:30 a.m. and demanded money from the cashier, San Diego police said.

The two suspects, both described as Hispanic men in their mid-20s, left the area in a white Ford Mustang. Investigators said the car has possible front-end damage on the driver’s side.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

The armed suspect was 5-feet, 9-inches tall and wore Chargers hoodie, dark baseball hat, black bandana with skull teeth on it and black sweatpants.

The other suspect was also 5-feet, 9-inches tall. He had a mustache and wore a black shirt with a design on the back, dark baseball hat and black pants.
