SAN DIEGO — A person was shot in the arm Friday in the Linda Vista neighborhood.

Police officers and medics were sent to an address in the 2200 block of Crandall Drive near Garston Street after the victim called for help shortly after 9:30 a.m., San Diego police Officer Tony Martinez said.

A second person was detained at the scene in connection with the shooting, Martinez said.
