Chargers host Saints: Game play-by-play

In the first quarter, the Chargers scored their first touchdown and fans went wild. Before the game, tailgaters geared up for what was the Chargers’ second home game of the season and the return of former Charger quarterback Drew Brees.

“We had a tough road loss last week and it’s just great to see Drew Brees coming back. Everyone is talking about it — it’s Brees versus Rivers settle the dispute. More importantly we need a W!” said Charger fan Sasan Mirkarimi.

During the game, there were plenty of colors representing both teams, but also a lot of pink out on the field and in the stands in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The Chargers’ loss against the Saints makes them 1-3. They play the Raiders next weekend in Oakland.
