SAN DIEGO – Police identified Friday two people involved in an apparent murder-suicide at a women’s transitional-housing facility in Bankers Hill building Thursday afternoon.

Joseph Henry Robinson, 44, allegedly shot 35-year-old Arnisha Rene Harris around 3:15 p.m. at Big Sister League in the 100 block of Redwood Street before shooting himself, according to San Diego police.

Harris is the manager at the shelter and Robinson is believed to be her boyfriend, Lt. Ray Valentine of the San Diego police homicide unit said.

A person who was apparently talking with Harris through a locked door before the shooting called police after hearing a loud bang inside the room.

Homicide detectives continue to investigate.
