Police investigate murder-suicide at Bankers Hill women’s housing facility

SAN DIEGO – Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a women's transitional-housing facility in Bankers Hill building Thursday afternoon.

Two bodies were found by authorities around 3:15 p.m. at Big Sister League in the 100 block of Redwood Street, according to San Diego police.

A woman who was a manager at the shelter was shot by a man believed to be her boyfriend, who then shot himself, Lt. Ray Valentine of San Diego police homicide unit said at a news conference.

Homicide investigators are conducting an investigation.
