Matt Cummings says goodbye to kitty, his cat, which had been shot twice by a pellet gun.

LAKESIDE, Calif. — Matt Cummings is crushed by the loss of his beloved cat, kitty.

On Sunday morning, kitty was outside Cummings’ apartment when someone in the complex shot kitty twice with a pellet gun.

Kitty limped back home, that’s where Cummings’ girlfriend discovered the cat’s wounds.

“This person needs to be brought to justice because it’s like having a murderer on the lose, there’s potential for him to do this to someone else,” said Cummings.

The cat was taken to a vet, but Cummings, who is on disability after being injured in a motorcycle accident, just couldn’t afford thousands of dollars in vet expenses and kitty died.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Cummings pay expenses incurred during initial veterinary care.
