Cold Case: Man murdered at birthday party in 2009

SAN DIEGO — Authorities Friday renewed their call for information that could lead them to whoever shot and killed a 23-year-old man at a birthday party at Morley Field seven years ago.

On the night of Sept. 6, 2009, San Diego resident Brandon Robinson was found lying on the ground next to his motorcycle suffering from a bullet wound. He later died in a hospital, according to San Diego police and Crime Stoppers.

He had been attending a party near Jacaranda Drive when the unknown suspect opened fire. Authorities have not released a possible motive nor a description of the suspect.

The Governor’s Office has put up a reward of $50,000 for information leading an arrest and conviction, and Crime Stoppers was offering $1,000.
