Student’s return to class disappoints school police union

SAN DIEGO – A school police union was caught off guard after a student involved in a brawl returned to school.

The school police union says not only were they caught off guard when Jesse Duncan arrived to Lincoln High School with his friend, but they are disappointed.

Last school year, cell phone video captured the lunchtime melee where dozens of students, including Duncan, mobbed a parking garage to "play fight" and it turned into an outright brawl. A school resource officer tried to step in and control the situation was sent to the hospital.

Six months later and a new school year begins, Duncan was back in the classrooms and the school police union was disappointed.
