Joey Bosa finally signs contract with Chargers
SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Chargers announced Monday they have signed 2016 first-round selection defensive end Joey Bosa to a four-year contract.
“We look forward to having Joey join us and getting him prepared as quickly as possible for the 2016 season,” said Chargers General Manager Tom Telesco.
Bosa reached a four-year, $25.8 million contract, a source said. He gets a $17 million signing bonus. It’s all fully guaranteed.
After a much publicized contract dispute caused the first round pick to miss training camp.
The 21-year-old NFL rookie is 6-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 280 pounds. He spent three years at Ohio State University and tallied 150 tackles, 50.5 tackles for loss, 26 sacks, 24 quarterback hurries and five forced fumbles in 41 games.
