7-Eleven employee robbed at gunpoint

SAN DIEGO -- A 7-Eleven store in Kearny Mesa was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday.

The robber pulled a gun on an employee at the convenience store at the corner of Balboa Avenue and Convoy Street and demanded cash shortly before 1 a.m. He ran off and headed south on Convoy with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the suspect as black, about 25 and 5 feet 5. He was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt and had a bandana covering his face.
