Brush fire burns at Camp Pendleton

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — A brush fire spread across open terrain at Camp Pendleton Tuesday, blackening about 60 acres but causing no immediate structural threats.

The blaze in the northern reaches of the Marine Corps station near Oceanside erupted in the late afternoon, according to the base’s public affairs office.
