Alejandro Ibarra is wanted for sexual assault

SAN DIEGO – Investigators need help finding a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman at her home last month.

According to San Diego County Crime Stoppers, Alejandro Avila Ibarra, 47, broke into a home in the 3900 block of T Street in the Mountain View neighborhood around 5 a.m. on May 27.

Ibarra allegedly grabbed the victim inside the front entrance of her home and tried to sexually assault her.

A fight broke out and Ibarra may have sustained a severe injury to one of his hands, likely his left hand, before he fled the scene, police said.

Ibarra is described as a Hispanic man with a medium build, 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds.
