ORLANDO – In a powerful tribute to the men and women who lost their lives during the Orlando nightclub mass shooting, 49 celebrities were seen naming the victims and telling each of their stories.

The video called “Stop the Hate” was released Wednesday by the Human Rights Campaign.  A photograph of a victim comes across the screen with his name and age below.

“Jean Carlos Nieves Rodriguez, 27 years old.”

Then, Lady Gaga appears wearing all black.

“John started working at McDonald’s at age 15 to help support his family, and was recently made the manager of a check-cashing store. He purchased his first home this spring, so that his mother could live there, too.”

The video continues for 18 minutes with the stories of the 48 other victims.

On June 12, a gunman stormed the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, killing 49 people in one of the deadliest mass shootings in the U.S.
