Car hits toddler in day-care parking lot

SAN DIEGO — A toddler was hit by a car outside a day care center in the Linda Vista neighborhood Tuesday morning but was not seriously hurt, authorities said.

The 2-year-old child suffered what were described as minor injuries in the mishap in a parking lot off Linda Vista Road near Glidden Street around 9 a.m., according to San Diego police Officer Travis Easter. The toddler was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital to be treated, he said.

Easter said the driver remained at the scene.
