EL CAJON, Calif. - An 84-year-old man was found dead in a mobile home in unincorporated El Cajon, a sheriff's lieutenant said Sunday.

Deputies dispatched at 8:46 p.m. Saturday to investigate a report of an elderly man with severe injuries at 255 E. Bradley Ave. found the victim with severe trauma to the upper portion of his torso, said Lt. Kenneth Nelson of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

FOX 5 spoke with a man who identified the victim as his father Jose Campos.

Juan Campos says his father was alone while he and his wife went to a doctor's appointment.

“When I came home he was laying down in the bed. There was blood all over his chest, his pants -- his eyeglasses were all bloody,” said Campos.

Campos describes his father as kind and friendly. It's unclear how or why he was killed and no suspects are in custody.

“I don’t have a clue who did it. I hope they catch the guy -- give him what he deserves," said Campos.

The sheriff's homicide unit asked anyone with any information regarding the death to call them at 858-974-2321.
