Passerby rescues dog from burning home

BONITA, Calif. — Firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out Tuesday evening at a home in Bonita.

The fire in the 3800 block of Bonita View was reported around 6:45 p.m.

A person walking by heard someone yelling for help and ran into the home, grabbing the dog that was inside.

All residents were safely evacuated.

One person was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
