Cops call report of man trying to lure schoolgirl ‘misunderstanding’
SAN DIEGO – San Diego police initially reported they were investigating a possible attempted kidnapping Tuesday from in front of a Carmel Valley elementary school, but dropped the investigation an hour later.
A woman called police and reported that a man tried to lure her 10-year-old daughter into his vehicle in front of Sage Canyon Elementary School at 5290 Harvest Run Drive. The girl did not get in the vehicle, and the man drove off when the school bell rang, the woman reported.
San Diego police told FOX 5 at 4 p.m. that they were no longer investigating the report as it was a misunderstanding.
