ONTARIO, Calif. – The driver of a pickup truck was pursued by authorities Tuesday afternoon on the eastbound 10 Freeway in the Ontario area.

The chase began on the 210 Freeway in Monrovia, said Officer Michele Bond of the California Highway Patrol. It made its way east for about 25 miles before the driver exited the interstate, reversed course and then entered the westbound side, KTLA reported.

The pickup later transitioned to the southbound 57 Freeway in the Glendora area before moving onto the 10 Freeway in Pomona. After exiting in Montclair and driving through the parking lot of a strip mall, the driver re-entered the 10 and continued east.

News video showed CHP vehicles following the white four-door truck as it reached speeds of up to 100 mph in the carpool lane.

The driver of the truck eventually pulled over to the side of the freeway. Two men were seen getting handcuffed by authorities at 2:20 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what prompted the pursuit.
