Gunman forces employees to ground during gas station robbery

SAN DIEGO — A Chevron gas station in the Del Cerro neighborhood was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night.

The suspect pulled a gun and demanded cash at the Chevron at the corner of Del Cerro Boulevard and College Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.  The gunman ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash after demanding employees to the ground during the incident.

Police described the suspect as 5 feet 6 inches tall,  250 pounds with “heavy acne on his face.”  He was wearing a beanie, a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
