Motorcyclist hit by woman suspected of DUI

SAN DIEGO – A motorcyclist who was backing out of a driveway in Encanto got a broken leg when a woman, who was reportedly driving drunk, hit him with her car, according to San Diego police.

A 32-year-old woman hit the motorcyclist at Imperial Avenue near 63rd Street just before 4 a.m. Sunday, SDPD officer Dan Lasher said.  She was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, police said.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with a broken leg.

Police did not release the names of the two involved.
