SAN DIEGO — A Mira Mesa High School math teacher and track coach was placed on administrative leave while school officials look into allegations that he inadvertently projected images from lingerie websites onto a classroom screen while his students were taking a test, the San Diego Unified School District confirmed Wednesday.

The district had no further comment on the status of the teacher, Paul Swanson because it’s a personnel issue, SDUSD spokeswoman Linda Zintz said.

The incident occurred last week but came to light Tuesday when Principal Jeff Sabins sent a letter home to parents.

Cell phone video recorded by students show the teacher sitting at his desk, flipping through Internet pages with lingerie images on a computer while the students took a test. He was apparently unaware that the images from his computer were being displayed on a large classroom screen behind him, visible to all of the students.
